We call the catalogued images of each boat “rough proofs” because they don’t resemble the cropped, handprinted, watermarked Richard Bennett print you will receive once you’ve chosen the photograph you’d like to order.

After each session in the helicopter, Richard goes straight from the airport to a laboratory that produces the proofs as fast as possible so the yachties can see them and make their orders straight away.

After hanging out of a helicopter for a week, Richard goes back to Bruny Island and sleeps for a few days! He then spends almost every day for the next month or so holed up in his office, preparing every order one at a time. The orders go out daily throughout January and February.

Once Richard has your print ready, you’ll receive an email to confirm it has been dispatched. The email will also contain a tracking number.

We are located on the dock, just outside the race village and almost opposite the iconic Mures seafood restaurant.

Well, there are lots of benefits to ordering in person. We can show you what the finished product will look like, and examples of all our sizes. Richard can show you how he will crop (compose) the image you are interested in before it is enlarged, and even arrange to have a personalised message on the bottom of your print. It’s worth ordering as a crew too and arranging the group discount when you’re all in one place, at the same time.

We’ve been posting yachting photographs all over the world for five decades! We pack them laid flat against a protective barrier and wrap them in brown paper. Each package is marked as fragile. Framed photographs are delivered by courier.

Yes! For bulk orders of the same print to the same address, we do offer discounts. If a number of crew order the same image, we are happy to help out where we can.

No, the border is in addition to the print size. The advertised size of the print refers to the longest side of the image, excluding the border.
