Lasunayoc, Peru July 1969

The view is looking down from the northeast ridge of Lasunayoc from camp 2 at 18,300 feet. Our camp was higher than the clouds. Lasunayoc is 19,975 feet, and we were undertaking its second assent and a new route. This was part of the 1969 Australian Andean Expedition, where I was an expeditioner and photographer, spending 2 months in the Cordillera Vilcabamba making 23 assets on 18 mountains, 13 of which were first ascents.
