Sean Langman’s beautifully restored huon-pine, gaff-rigged yacht was the smallest and oldest boat in the fleet. She was built in 1932.

Powering up the Derwent here, Maluka is representing the Port Huon Yacht Club where my father, Reg, used to sail.

This is one of the first shots I took of the race from a helicopter, the day after the tragic death of Tim Jones and his pilot Sam Langford.
